Just 8 Million iPhone X Units are Manufactured in Q2 2018: Report
iPhone X could be garnering the lion’s share for the smartphone industry’s earnings, but it doesn’t appear to be offering also really. The smartphone industry is within a tiny slump these days, therefore looks Apple could have overestimated exactly how many units associated with the iPhone X it could offer. According to a unique report, the organization features ordered just 8 million units of its leading to be manufactured in the April to Summer period, an unusually small number considering it marketed approximately 73 million devices in Q4 2017. This is because it still has leftover stock for the iPhone X to get which it must offer.
A report by Fast Company, mentioning sources with direct knowledge of Apple’s programs, states only 8 million units of iPhone X are produced in the next quarter once the business aims to “burn down” the stock it already features accumulated.
This might be a fallout of this smartphone business’s slowdown; it is said the production of smartphones increases by only 5 % in 2018, down from 6.5 % last year.
This may be the reason Apple is rumoured to-be working on a 2018 iPhone design with all the design of iPhone X, but a LCD show and a price tag starting at $550 (around Rs. 36,650). Along with this may be two other high-end designs, both featuring the OLED panel like the present flagship, with costs to match. These new models are expected to introduce in September this present year. But before that, Apple is reported to be unveiling the iPhone SE 2 design, likely at WWDC 2018.
